Here’s the latest stats for HIV & AIDS in the Philippines:


Some highlights:

  • New cases for February 2016 at 751, year to date 1,555.
  • 116 AIDS cases 751 new cases
  • 2 cases of 751 are below 15 y/o.  Majority (401) came from the 25-34 y/o age range while 11 cases were from the 50 y/o & above group
  • 39% of the cases came from the National Capital Region, followed by the Region 4A
  • 261 cases of 751 were noted from bisexual contacts while the predominant mode of transmission was male-to-male sex (358/751)
  • 31 adolescents (10-19 y/o) and 2 children (below 10) were reported out of the 751 new cases
