DECEMBER 2015, HIV AIDS REGISTRY OF THE PHILIPPINES

So here’s the December 2015 HIV & AIDS report for the country:

Some highlights:

  • 650 new cases with 38 percent coming from the National Capital Region followed by the Calabarzon region 4A.
  • 650 new cases, 629 males vs. 21 females,  with 27 on AIDS stage
  • 650 new cases, one below 15 years old.  356 cases were from the 25-34 age range
  • 46 reported deaths. 1  within the 10-19 y/o range, 44 of 46 deaths were male.
  • 650 new cases, 46 OFWs, 1 mother-to-child cases, 26 adolescents (16-19y/o)
  • 650 new cases, 60 engaged in transaction cases (98% male)

YEAR TO DATE/2015

  • A total of 7,829 cases for the year
  • 4,130 of the annual number came from the 25-34 age range
  • 20 cases were from the less than 15 years range
  • 503 AIDS cases
  • 461 deaths. 1 below ten years old. 64 deaths from the youth sector (15-24)
