The New Hub
The new treatment center is located at the 3rd floor, City Health Office of Marikina City ran by Dra. Honey Fernando. She has assistants and you may inquire from Rod Reyes and Queenie Laurel at tel# 02-9422359. The hub started its operations last December, 2014. They operate daily, Mondays thru Fridays from 8AM – 5PM.
While the hub mainly serves Marikina residents, they are open to referrals from other cities, kindly send an SMS at 0927-8067339, thru HIV & AIDS Support House.
Patients coming from Anglo & RITM Satellite may also be assisted while waiting for the confirmatory. A proper endorsement may be required since they are yet to be formalized as partners of the loveyouself hub. Patients may direct inquiries to 0927-8067339, thru HIV & AIDS Support House.
As a hub, she conducts HIV Tests and Counseling with free baseline tests and CD4. STI Management is done in-house
New Patients may enroll directly with their confirmatory results. However, as needed, baselines may be processed while awaiting confirmatory, ARVs are likewise ready for issuance (onsite) depending on the CD4 / health status of the patient.
Anti-retro Viral Drugs are directly requested by the hub from the National AIDS STI Prevention & Control Program (NASPCP). These are issued for free to all patients of Marikina Hub & they do not require (as of the moment) Philhealth documents. She takes on a conservative treatment route by starting new patients out on Nevirapine before considering Efavirenz. She is however open to the possibility of making the ARV issuance a choice (whether Nevirapine or Efavirenz) eventually.
Assessment is done if patient needs to go through Isoniazid Prophylaxis Therapy (IPT). She closely coordinates with the TB Program of the City Health Office in regards to this.
Baseline & Confinement
In-house Baseline laboratories include CBC, Hepatitis B, Chest X-ray, RPR (Syphilis), Lipid Profile, Sputum. The hub has its own CD4 .
Confinement requests are coursed through San Lazaro Hospital, however if patient prefers to be confined elsewhere, proper referral documents can be prepared by Dr. Fernando’s team.
Gene expert is available onsite as well.
Transferees may be facilitated provided records/abstract are brought in from the former hub.
Hepa B vaccines are currently (as of this writing) available for free.
